As Salamu Alaikum my respected Brothers & Sisters..

Lets put the skills and talents of color and art in the service to Islam..

If you have the skill to create Islamic Graphics..

i.e. Banners with short & beautiful Dawa or a verse from the Noble Quran..a hadith from the Beloved Prophet peace be upon him..or any thing you can think can go on a banner you can start working on it and displaying it here..

We hope that gradually we can dedicate a sections for the ImanWay Graphic Design Members, who inshaAllah will form a center for servin' the Graphic E-Dawa whenever the need calls..:)

Enrollment starts from now...Bismillah!

I'm gonna install adobe on my PC too just to start doing somethin for this section inshaAllah...im not an expert but somethin' better than nothin'..;)

and just as a suggestion..how about we gather quotes that can be used on a banner. This way anyone who wanna starts doin' something can get some quick suggestions?! :D

What dimensions are you hoping for, or is this rather free-form?

For banner sort of things, are you thinking about 80 x 480 ?

but now that u mentioned it maybe it would be preferable if they can be 60 x 468..that way we can use some of them on the top banner area on the forums..

The color theme suits the imanway logo very well & inshaAllah ill start workin' on getting that on the top banner area..

& about the link, well im glad it didnt work cuz checkin' out the mother site it turned out to be not an authentic site even though that particular page was ok..

& as it is always better be on the safe side..

we hope to have a banner for a verse from the Book of God...

You can choose any verses from the Quran..if you cannot decide on one this is a verse that I suggest:

And not alike are the good and the evil. Repel (evil) with what is best, when lo! he between whom and you was enmity would be as if he were a warm friend. (Noble Quran: 41:34)

if the verse is too long to fit in that size banner..then we can for the verse in Surah Al Muminoon:

Repel evil by what is best..(Noble Quran: 23:96)

the above is simply an animated banner, and it is so easy to make, actually i thought it was much harder to do but when i tried it actually is a piece of cake..:)

the programs u will need is Adobe Photoshop preferable a new version like 6.0 or 7.0

and an animating program, which could be downloaded from here

The graphics program I have been using "forever" is called The Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/). It is a very powerful tool and more than adequate for web page design -- and it's free :)
