A man follows his friend's religion, so each one should consider whom he makes his friend.

On the authority of Mu`adh (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported that the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took hold of his hand and said:
O Mu`adh! By God, I love you, and I advise you: You should never abandon reciting after every prayer: Allah, assist me in remembering You and being grateful to You and performing Your worship in an excellent manner.
(Reported by Abu Dawud)

Abu Bakrah (Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had said:
When two Muslims combat each other with the sword, the killed and the killer both are doomed to Hell.
I said: Messenger of Allah! As to the one who kills it is understandable, but what about the killed? He (the Holy Prophet) replied:
The other longed to murder his opponent.
(Agreed upon)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lessons Deduced:
- This warns Muslims against fighting each others because this incurs Allah's wrath.
- The warning in this hadith is given to the killer and the killed if they have been fighting with no legal excuse.

`Abdullah bin Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) observed:
I asked Allah's Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):
Which deed was the best. He (the Holy Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied:
Prayer at its appointed hour.I (again) said: Then what? He said:
Kindness to the parents.
I (again) said: Then what? He replied:
Jihad in the cause of Allah
(Agreed-upon)
Lessons deduced:
________________
1- Prayer is the right due to Allah on His servants, second in rank only after declaring the two testimonies (that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).
2- The importance of treating parents kindly, an obligation which was mentioned in the Hadith along with Prayer and Jihad.
3- Jihad is the greatest kind of sacrifice on can give, as it includes the right of Allah and that of people.

Al-Hasan bin `Ali (Allah be pleased with them) narrated that he remembered these words from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
Abandon what appears doubtful to you, and adhere to that which is not doubtful for truth is peace of mind and falsehood is doubt.
(Reported by Al-Tirmidhi)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lessons Deduced:
- People should avoid dubious things and do only what is clearly lawful. Those who avoid dubious things preserve the soundness of their faith and honor.
- Truthfulness brings calm, tranquility, courage, self-confidence and trustworthiness. Falsehood, on the other hand, brings doubt, hesitation, fear, humility and untrustworthiness.

Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah feels enthusiasm at (the attitude) of his bondsmen (it is becoming to Him) and the enthusiasm of Allah is excited on seeing a man committing such (bad) deeds which are unlawful.
(Agreed upon)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lessons Deduced:
- Committing sins incurs the wrath of Allah the Almighty.
- The hadith raises people’s hatred against committing abominations as they incur the wrath of Allah.
